Bohnsen Invest was established in 2025 as a Single Family Office for the Bohnsen family but our story goes further back.
The story of Bohnsen Invest is also the story of Unifeeder – the company Peter Bohnsen founded with Tonny Paulsen in 1977 and sold to Montagu in 2007 as a market leader in feeder networks and logistics.
It’s a story that, on one hand is about tons and tonnage and how to utilitize an empty container on a cargo ship the best. But on the other hand, its about treating others like you want to be treated yourself.
Unifeeder was a story about moving something. With container ships.
Bohnsen Invest is also a story about moving something. Through people.
And still with foresight, persistence and kindness.

Even though Unifeeder was specialised in transporting goods over relatively short distances, its thinking and actions were always long-term. Whether it was about keeping promises to meet people’s eyes the next time you saw them, or about staying agile and flexible to spot and seize new business opportunities.
2025 Bohnsen Invest
Tonny Paulsen exits Navest, which is transformed into a Single Family Office for the Bohnsen family and renamed Bohnsen Invest.
2008 Family Office
Navest is established as a Family Office for Peter Bohnsen, Tonny Paulsen, and their families.
2007 Unifeeder is Sold
Peter Bohnsen and Tonny Paulsen sell Unifeeder to Montagu. At the time, Unifeeder had 200 employees and was market leader in its field.
1999 New Subdivision
Unifeeder Germany GmbH is established.
1993 New Subdivision
Unifeeder Finland Oy is established.
1992 New Subdivision
Unifeeder Sweden AB is established.
1986 New Subdivision
Unifeeder Norway A/S is established.
1985 Shortsea
Unifeeder opens a new division for European shortsea traffic.
1977 The Beginning
Together with Tonny Paulsen, Peter Bohnsen establishes the liner agency and freight forwarding business United Shipping Agencies. Shortly after, feeder activities are added, and the secondary name Unifeeder becomes the core brand.
